The Ruby Mountains are an obscure range in central Nevada. They don't
get as much snow as the Sierra Nevada but still enough for great skiing.
The most famous ski tour is the Ruby Mountain Traverse, popularized
by Galen Rowell I believe. We didn't have enough time for the traverse
so went in and out of the middle of the range on a 4 day trip.
